CAM is a new and innovative discipline within IT Asset Management (ITAM) that is dedicated to managing assets within the cloud. While Software Asset Management (SAM) or Financial Operations (FinOps) may initially appear sufficient, CAM is uniquely equipped to handle the hidden challenges when managing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS assets.
